As I Democratic member of the House from Connecticut, I voted no in favor of this bill. The Big Three says it will “create jobs, prevent large tax increases and cuts in state services, strengthen our nation’s manufacturing sector, and assist those struggling to find a job.” But by propping up a failing system, it will only hinder the process of these businesses growing and further developing. The Big Three have also already received $25 billion in loans in a recently to allow them to build greener, more energy efficient cars and trucks. Also, they say that they will need future loans of $15 billion in the coming years. This is further force America in to debt by constantly bailing out failing businesses.
